D – Fynbos Families

On the Family pages you can  see the  classification of the various Fynbos species and also more details of the different plants.

Common names, time of flowering, details of  photos  etc. are included and sometimes additional photos.

As in some cases the flowers of different species will appear very similar, but the plant itself will look totally different,  it is usually essential to look at more that one picture for proper identification. Sometimes the flower is so entangled with other plants that identification becomes even more difficult.
